Getting ready

Update from Harriet:

Hector and Skip spent last night under canvas (literally, under canvas only; it appears there are no sides to their tent, which is a bit unfortunate given the chilly temperatures at night). Today was spent getting checked for medical fitness (which includes the mandatory ECG) and for kit (to ensure they are carrying enough calories and they have vital safety equipment). Hector's backpack weighs 9kg without water.
